I chose to be an engineer,
so I could make a difference in the world of tomorrow

I have always loved creating things early on with LEGOs and making things from wood. Anything from building small shelters in the garden to disassembling my bicycle to make it look like a bmx.

As I got bigger, so did my projects.
I handmade a pulse-jet engine with a friend, and converted a delivery van into a camper van!

My professional experience

Highschool Diploma

Finished HAVO (Nature & Technology) at Drachtster Lyceum. I was also part of the Advisory Board for hiring new staff. As my graduation project I handmade a pulse-jet engine together with my classmate which actually worked!

Bachelor of Engineering

I finished my first year in the top 10% of my year and won a design project competition with my team. I did my internship abroad and went to New Zealand to experience more than I could in my own environment. As part of my Minor I chose the specialization of Machine Design and I won the competition of the lightest bridge that could hold the most weight. Finished my studies with a thesis that was awarded an 8/10.

Start of career at Philips

I started as automation project engineer trying to automate current manual fabrication processes. After successful delivery of proof of concept I shifted to product industrialization engineer to work on the newest generation of shaver fabrication lines at Philips Drachten. Unfortunately I was part of employee cuts before the project came to fruition.

As continuation of my career I sought new opportunities at multiple engineering companies like Wadcon Automation and Royal BAM. Yet something was itching for me to reach something new; So I went and started my own company.

Independent Mechanical Engineer

For 1.5 years now I have been an independent engineer for multiple clients like Aircraft maker Lilium and the market leader in corrugate packaging machines. I have successfully supported and delivered projects and continue to find new challenges.
